We just published the work Joshua Bensemann and Hasnain Cheena did in their dissertations, co-authored with David Tse Jung Huang, Elizabeth Broadbent, and Jonathan Williams:
From What You See to What We Smell: Linking Human Emotions to Bio-markers in Breath. In this work, we not only analyzed the VOC breath data from
our previous publications, but also generated objective descriptors for the movies the audience was watching, based on sound, image, and other properties. We then identified relationships between the multiple VOCs and the movie descriptors, which point towards biomarkers for emotions in breath.
